Currently playing Tales of Legendia. I think I'm about halfway through because I'm on chapter 4 out of 8, which is sad because I've only been playing about 10 hours. I think literally half the game is these optional side quests for each of the characters after you beat the main game.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations tomorrow!

Just curious because I've only played DQVIII. Do you prefer Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior/Quest?

Dragon Quest.

I looooove the exploration. The Dragon Quest series has the best exploration of any RPG series ever.

Dragon Quest is also very light-hearted. It's all about boobs and adventure. It's so happy.

The Dragon Quest games that do have classes (3, 6, 7, and 9 when it comes out) have the best class system I've ever seen in a game. I've never been so motivated to grind in my life. It's so addictive.

I will admit that Final Fantasy beats Dragon Quest almost every time at storyline.

There's just so much to do in a Dragon Quest game. Journey around the planet, search every house, every drawer for secrets, get all of the uber weapons by doing sidequests or gathering medals. The game REALLY rewards you for your work, so you get addicted to it.

Final Fantasy 1 > Dragon Quest 1
Final Fantasy 3 < Dragon Quest 3
Final Fantasy 4 > Dragon Quest 4 (Probably, I haven't played Dragon Quest 4. It might be close. Late NES RPG vs early SNES RPG)
Final Fantasy 5 < Dragon Quest 5
Final Fantasy 7 = Dragon Quest 7 (While I prefer DQ7, I will admit that it's only a personal choice. They're both very good RPGs. I call them equal.)
Final Fantasy 12 = Dragon Quest 8 (Again, I prefer DQ8 (baaaarely), but FF12 is an insanely good game, and I definitely say that they're equal).

Those are just the ones that I am able to compare at the moment.

How are the controls? Is it worth the money? I'm considering getting several DS games for Christmas (along with a 360). The last good DS game I had was Poke'mon Pearl.

I've only done the first temple, but the controls are pretty good. It's kind of easy, which I like but some people don't. Pretty much everything is done with the stylus. As for worth the money... meh. I've heard it's only about 15 hours long, 20 if you do all the extra stuff, and with tax the price is almost $40, so it's up to you. Wind Waker was my favorite Zelda and Phantom Hourglass is a sequel to it so I really wanted it. I don't know when it will be, but when I'm done I'll write a review.

If you want some DS recommendations here are the games that I currently want:

Metroid Prime Hunters
Elite Beat Agents
Mairo and Luigi: Partners in Time
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales
Lunar Knights

Got Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime for DS for the ride home. I can't play Me and My Katamari on Blake's PSP. His D pad is screwy.

Tell me what you think. As a DQ fanatic, I'm obligated to buy it. I know it's nothing like any DQ games, though. It's supposedly good.

I just bought Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. These are the finest damn graphics you'll ever see on a DS.
