Does ES use KOS for rendering? Because if it did, doesn't that mean it'd be able to be ported to the GBA and PS2? Pretty much any platform that supports KOS? O.o

Nope. We wrote our own PVR driver. It uses libGyro for rendering. And no, it wouldn't mean that. There is far more to a game than just rendering, and KOS has its own PVR API which is not compatible with the GBA or PS2.

Not to mention there is no way in hell that a GBA could run ES, regardless of your underlying driver of choice.

And why is this topic not in programming discussion or game development?

Because he's not programming or developing anything (in the context of this topic), simply inquiring. ;)

Yeah, I guess I meant rendering wise. :)

I disagree. It's an inquiry about game development.

So every post about "how do I get started with game development" should be here? They aren't developing anything. They're inquiring. ;)

I would say yes. Although preferably they shouldn't be anywhere because that's a ridiculously vague and poorly asked question. :P

I've always taken that to mean something being DONE, a product being worked on or designed rather than a general question. Not like we strictly enforce sections here anyways, as long as it's somewhat related I don't really care where it's posted. I read all the posts, not just the ones in a specific section.
