Just woke up a while ago to find that my car had been broken into. Windows smashed, GPS gone, change tray gone, airbag removed and stolen as well. Mother fuckers.

Holy shit, where do you live? I would be sooo pissed.

I live in what I believed to be a fairly nice apartment complex in Dracut, Massachusetts. Fortunately I just found out from the officer that filed my report that they caught the bastards who did it. A bunch of teenagers from quite possibly the worst town in America: Lawrence, Massachusetts. I guess they hit 7 Honda Civics in our complex all of which had the airbags stolen. Apparently undeployed airbags go for a nice $$$ on the street. Oh well, now to find a way into work.

If I were you I would fucking hunt them down and beat there little asses.
Do they have ASBOs in the US?

I live in a pretty shit area too, but there we call them chavs.

My town is actually a really nice place. The kids who did this came from out of town. And I'm not really familiar with ASBO's so I'm not sure if we have anything of equivalence in the US.

Honda Civics are a prime car to be broken into and have stuff taken. Everybody has one (around here) and thus all our car thieves know how to break into them.

That is one of the strangest things I've heard in a while. Criminals concerned about safety? And is Lawrence worse than Lynn? When I lived there, I actually had a cop ask me "what are you doing here?".

I wonder how long it takes to steal someone's airbag without deploying it... That's messed up. Glad they got caught, but sorry for your loss.

What's going to happen to these little thugs? Are they going to be prosecuted or something?

Oh and an ASBO is what of the kids in the Essex area of East London get, where I live. If you break an ASBO you can get up to five years in prison.

umm idk i know a dude from form stockhold (?) california and it is notorios for car jackings (worst in country???)

I have a problem with that "city of sin" rhyme; it almost glorifies it, like it's fucking Vegas or something, when really, it's just a shithole.

And for what it's worth, both Paterson and Newark NJ are a million times worse than anything in New England.
