Emulators with low reqs?

Post by Ewan »

I'm trying to get hold of an emulator that will run on a shitty laptop - Windows ME, Pentium 3 and 64mb of RAM. Tried a bsnes one but there's .DLLs missing (works fine on my XP, so presumably they are DLLs that Windows ME isn't supposed to have.)

Not toooo fussy about what games I can play with it, as long as they're cool. I've got nothing to play on that laptop atm so anything is good.

Any help would be cool :)

Edit: I got the bsnes one off this site http://www.coolrom.com/

ZSNES is the fastest, most efficient SNES emulator. Its core is written in assembly--you should be fine.

I don't think you have to worry about anything from the NES era not being fullspeed, and I don't know enough about the Genesis to recommend something.

I use zsnes for SNES, nesten for NES, and gens for Sega Genesis. Dunno if they're the best available, but they've worked for me, but I don't use them real frequently.

I'm sure you're not using it for anything illegal. Here, you can just paste this into your reply:

Of course not!
