Pirate Game

Introduction:
I am working on a game named "Pirate Game". It’s my school project and I have been working with it about half a year. The game is written in Blitz3D but the actual game is 2D. I am the programming the game and working with the graphics (most graphics is used from guys who give free game graphics). I have chosen the Basic language because of I am familiar with it. The game's genre is RPG (role playing game). The game consists of over 5000+ lines of code and the game is based on 4 layers.
-Layer one is base ground collision based on tile
-Layer two is the tiles on top of the base ground and collision is also based on tile
-Layer tree is a not blocking and the layer is above the player
-Layer four is the roof layer when a player walks under one of the tiles in the layer four the layer four layer will despairs.

Here is some what you can do in the game.
-Save/Load Character
-Kill monsters & gain level
-Increase the 6 attributes of the character (Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma)
-Discover Quests
-Talk to NPCs and buy from them
-Wrap zones (Teleporting system)
-Listen to music while you play with my jukebox

I have made a Map Editor, NPC Editor and a Weapon Editor. I can make the most stuff in the Map Editor which is good.

Here is some screenshots from the game:

Nice work! That's awesome that you've got all of the editors built out as well.

Any chance of releasing a demo or putting some videos on YouTube?

And you also get a shiny blue name tag :)

Wow that's looking great. I love the art (Tell "Lars" he's the man). :) I really need practice doing top-down stuff.

That looks awesome.

I would make the character two tiles tall.

It would look more real to me.

Did you program that editor all yourself? That's a pretty cool project man.

Yeah. The editor was the easy part but the game is so much harder to make it run smoothly and get all the systems work.

I must say I watched your video, and I was impressed with both the editor and the game, great job!

I like your user interface, simple, and non intrusive ;)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I can program pretty well, it's my compiler that needs convincing!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And now a joke to lighten to mood :D

I wander what programming language anakin skywalker used to program C3-PO's AI back on tatooine? my guess is Jawa :P
