Goho Aliens - My first blitzbasic game

Thats the update video explaining the game. It is a space invaders clone with crappy graphics and music. I coded it in blitzbasic.

You can download it here. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO BUILD THE GAME FROM THE SOURCE. I didn't make the most updated EXE, so if you want the latest(internal) features, compile it from source.

Please comment/reply with advice, ideas, or constructive criticisms.

PROGRAMS USED:
Programming - BlitzBasic
Music - SFXR
Art - GIMP
Archiving - Tugzip(like 7zip, but with a GUI)

Just curious, but why not build the most updated exe?
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

I thought it was, until I had already uploaded it. If you think its a big deal, I'll update it. I've just been lazy :P.

Sorry for not responding yet--busy with AP Chem homework. I'll play it either later today or tomorrow and let ya know what I think!

Good luck on the game and keep up the nice work. I'm looking forward to playing it.

Thanks, it means a lot to me that official developers/artists are interested in other peoples work. Most of the time people call me a n00b and delete me off their forum...

5 starred and favorited. Looking very nice. Reminds me so much of Marcel's first Blitz creation... Ah, my little Marcel is all grown up now...

Lol, that game is actually fun :).

I need to get myself a little Marcel.. programming alone is fine and all but it'd be much more fun with a partner :).

that is pretty nice right there I havn't made any space shooters, well nevermind i started a basic one that never got finished but after that my standards for a good space shooter were pretty low... still that is a really nice game the only thing i would do is make it so you can't shoot so many bullets at once other than that it''s perfect... :)

And i love your profile picture

Really? You don't like the bullets? I liked them because they made it unique. If you think its a bad idea, i'll try and put a limit on them.

Hey dude it's your game. That is just my personal perspective, don't change every little thing because one person didn't agree. That is just dumb...

Pretty sweet jax, keep up the good work. I wish I could look at the code, but unfortunately I
don't have the time to learn BlitzBasic, as I'm learning Lua in my free time right now.

The score disappears when you die o.O It was somewhere around 4000 lol. I couldn't stand the sound affect for much longer than that anyhow. Still fun :)
