Falco's Biweekly Game Purchases

Post by Falco Girgis »

So I've decided to start myself a new tradition now that I'm making big dick player money. Every paycheck (biweekly), I'm going to be purchasing one new game as a gift for myself. These games can be for any platform ranging from cheap-as-dirt to expensive-as-fuck. I'll post the games that I purchase here. :)

I'm kicking the tradition off with:

Mischief Makers (N64):

I remember being a 10 year-old who just got an N64 for his birthday. This was the very first N64 game that I had ever rented. I have only played it once, and I have never seen it since. I never forgot how good it was, though.

My first instinct after reading this was to look for a "like" button.

WHAT~?!?!?!

Why back when I was a kid, we didn't have fucking "E to M." We had K-A and other wonky-ass letters for everything pre PS2 and Dreamcast...

*swigs beer deeply*

We were far better off too, in my day...

Hmm, never even heard of that game before. Guess i'll tube it up. On a side note, Falco oddly reminds me of old war vets.

It's not. I get paid every other Thursday. That's when I post. :)

Ah I thought that by bi-weekly you meant twice weekly, not once every two weeks. Okay then.

It's an ambiguous phrase. In this instance, I meant every other week. Damn, I wish that I got paid twice a week...

And I would be making my post today (it's payday), but my fucking direct deposit hasn't gone through, so I'm sitting here looking at a check that cannot be cashed until tomorrow.

Ah, well, I have the game picked out already. See you tomorrow, gents.

Alrighty, so I kind of splurged this week and spent a lot of money... but then again, what's the point of making engineering money if you can't blow it all on video games? :)

I purchased two very rare items for my Dreamcast collection. I have almost every single DC peripheral, and a whole bunch of rare imported games from Europe/Japan (Including Shenmue II). This particular peripheral is extremely elusive and was only released in Japan. It's called the "Dreameye" and is essentially what Sony copied when they tried to make the Eyetoy (the Dreameye is better). I can't wait to interface with the fucker and do some camera devving for it on the Dreamcast. It's an essential piece to any hardcore Dreamcast collector's collection:

The game it comes with (only game to ever support it) is also band new, factory sealed. It's called Visual Park.

The second purchase I made was Samba De Amigo V2K. I've loved the original ever since I first got a Dreamcast. Version 2000 is an upgrade that was only released in Japan (the Dreamcast was pulled off the American market before it could be released over here). I've played and beaten it before (through shady means), but I've never been able to get my hands on the elusive GD-Rom. For those of you who have played the original, this is a GIGANTIC upgrade with probably twice the amount of music and new/refined gameplay mechanics.

Both of these are being imported from Japan, so it'll take at least a few weeks to ship. Until next time, gents.

I've never had a N64 or a Dreamcast
I had a Sega Genesis with like literally 6 games, then I got a PS1, then a PS2 and now a PS3.
I wish I could have enjoyed the olden days of gaming, but I was too young.
There's no place like ~/
