For the lulz.
weird, i expected Ahmadenijad to get it.
We all know it was positive discrimination, I know he did absolutely nothing for Israel and Iraq in the UN meeting, and I really don't see why he got it other then the reason stated above.

Nobel.

And nobody I've talked to seems to know, either. The only real guess is for not starting a war yet.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

Page is taking forever to load, but wikipedia says "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." Which means nothing to me.

Unlike, say, the last 2008 & 2007's, which are "for his important efforts, on several continents and over more than three decades, to resolve international conflicts" and "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change".

Apparently he will always be remembered as the man who "tried".

Yeah dude, that is the biggest pile of shit I've heard in a long time.

It was decided he'd get it after him being in office for only 12 days.

The Nobel Peace Prize lost all integrity when Al Gore won his. I guess you win them for broken promises now.

I think that's fundamentally flawed; Al Gore has done a lot to make people aware of climate crisis.

However, for Obama, I agree he hasn't really done anything yet to really deserve it.

what does that even mean... its fundamentally flawed.. anyways..
al gore did nothing to educate people on the "climate crises" he gave talks to people who were already on the man made global warming train.
he made documentaries that were suppose to be about climate but were more like auto biographies, promoting him self out the wazooo....
he leaves one of the biggest greenhouse gas foot prints. he is a politician that is after a legacy, not a solution to anything.

i guess he made the internet as well?

I don't believe in "global warming" or "climate change" or whatever new name they have for it. He also makes a profit off of this whole "green" movement.
