Mega Man 9

Post by Falco Girgis »

Like any self respecting gamer, I just purchased MegaMan 9. I have beaten Megaman 1-6 on NES plenty of times. So I was expecting to jump right into this game and start kicking ass...

wrong!

I made the fatal error of buying the goddamned thing for 360. How in the FUCK are you supposed to play anything like this with Xbox's piece of shit dpad? Like honestly, I can barely beat a level with the goddamned thing. 360 has one of the worst dpads ever. Does anybody have any other ideas for MM9? Any of you buy it for 360? If so, how the hell do you play it?

Agreed. I was never a fan of round d-pads. Nintendo has always kept their d-pads shaped like a plus sign. Works so much better..

I bought it for Wii the day it came out, and then later bought it for 360 for the achievements. I beat it on wii, but barely have played it on 360. My suggestion would be buy it on Wii =P

Or file down the round parts of the dpad.
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

I agree about the comment on the 360's DPad.

Pac-man just won't go the right way, it's rather sad, it does work well on the wii virtual console though, with either the wiimote or the classic controller you get (I don't know if they just give you that, i've only played the wii version at a friends)

give me the 'plus sign' Dpad any time ;)

I think I can program pretty well, it's my compiler that needs convincing!

And now a joke to lighten to mood :D

I wander what programming language anakin skywalker used to program C3-PO's AI back on tatooine? my guess is Jawa :P

Yeah, I got my ass handed to me by that game. Of course, I hadn't played a Megaman game since that collection came out for Gamecube... I'm at Wily's stage now, but I keep dying in the second stage. Anyone who's played the game probably knows about that damn spiked pit underwater that you must have perfect precision to get across without exploding. Yeah, I lack precision right now...

Holy crap, I want some pics of this controller after you file it down! (assuming you were joking, though)

If only companies would learn from the Dreamcast... Nice comfy analog stick... Nice plus d-pad. Great controller design, button layout and triggers. It feels like when you hold the controller that it was just poured into your hands!

... And we must not forget the Rez Trance Vibrator extension for our lady friends ;)
