Everyone Else Was Doin' It

Post by Yikarso »

So I decided to post my art. Here's my site. I'll upload some of my real media things I did at SCAD some time soon.

It's mostly photography as of now. Like I said, I'll update it soon.

How'd you do the fruit? Chalk, pastel, and eraser? No idea, but it looks great, especially the lighting on the apple and the folding and fading of the cloth thingy they're on.

The self port is really great, though I must say I'm rather dissapointed you didn't give it a gout ea((no fucking clue how to spell that shiz)). :guffaw: :guffaw:

But serious, what the hell is it done in? The color scale is really working for it, and it gives it the look of...Damn, what's the word? I'm not much an artist...Think of the painting of the clocks melted over the tree w/ the ants and stuff--The bizzare dreamy type. Hm. I really like it, it's probably my fav of yours, despite me really loving the skull ((with an interesting contract: a skull done in such light colors when they're usually thought of as dark and evil, lol, nice!))

As for the Wii remote...Well...We all know that's just plain awesome!

Just used colored pencils on the fruit. And I didn't have a much of a goatee at the time.

Edit: And there's a lot more to my gallery than those 4 pictures. Just making sure you know.

Been doing a lot of art (lol art college) lately and I'm pretty happy with a few pieces, so I thought I'd revive this topic and see what you guys think of my most recent work.

Critiques be welcome, mateys.

The building is my favorite. Did you take pics of the building to get its textures?

Damn, that's all really nice!

What 3d modeling program did you use for the car? I've had (limited) experience with Nendo, Wings 3d, Milkshape, and a couple more that I can't think of atm...Just curious.

I love the big sluggy-the-unshaven! That's AWESOME!

Lol I hated modeling that car. I consider it the worst thing I've ever modeled. Cars just don't seem to be my thing.

And I use Maya 2008. And I usually do Maya for projects, but I sometimes feel the urge to model in my free time.

This is something I just threw together in a couple of hours one night for the heck of it.
