Bear in mind that this was the very first iteration of the QT Toolkit. The article talks about "zoom and rotation" which were removed and reimplemented muuuuuch later with a completely different framework in Adventures in Game Development Chapters 19 and 20. These articles will eventually be leaked as well.

Despite that fact, the AssetIO framework has not changed very much. The code dependency between the "Engine" and "Toolkit" repo is still the exact same, as the AssetIO is a subset of the Engine that is included within the Toolkit.

The basic mechanism of Toolkit classes encapsulating elysian::asset classes from the AssetIO is still very much in place. The Toolkit classes implement signals and slots that interact with the users, QGraphicsScene, and other widgets and ultimately update the internally encapsulated AssetIO classes.
