Hey guys.

I noticed you broadcast news and other ES material on many platforms. However, some of us are old fashioned and still use rss as our main source of updates. I already subscribe to the blog rss (which haven't had much action lately), it would be nice to have a feed for the more frequent updates.

Thanks.

I won't speak for them, but I believe the segregation is by design. The team posts different news on different social sites intentionally to encourage fans to check them all out and hit the respective "like", "+1", etc. buttons on each. This dramatically improves the visibility of the project.

That said, it does seem like it would be beneficial to have a single, central location for all posts to ensure that even fans without the luxury of spare time don't miss out on anything.

I think they have different purposes. Social networks are good for the "explosive" kind of marketing, but a rss feed is for the hardcore fans who never want to miss something from the project (much like the people on this forum).

I'm no social network expert (on the contrary, I rarely use any), I'm just stating my interest. I decided to take a look at the google+ page today after seeing the Huntsville presentation and thought: "man, it would be great to have these posts on my feeds".

is this the RSS feed for the actual news updates on the front page?

I do admit, it does need to be better maintained. I'm about to start writing articles more often... You just have to understand we're CONSTANTLY juggling Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, G+, Reddit, and a few other social media sites as part of our pre-Kickstarter promotion... It's a full-time job just to do the PR for ES, then it's a huge time-sink to make the videos, AND we're trying to get ES ready... Thank god I just quit my goddamn job!

Those articles were great! Altough I have a blog which I should be updating more often (don't we all?), so I know how tough it is to take the time to write something.

Well, I just discovered you can make an rss feed from a subreddit, so I guess that'll make things better. If only I could find something similar (email, rss, etc) for g+... But I guess google would never do it.

Unfortunately, Twitter is brain-damaged and decided RSS was no longer a necessary component of their API; so you're out of luck there.

What you could do is subscribe to ES's reddit account and receive emails about posts via https://ifttt.com/
