Hobbies?

Random irrelevance that just didn't fit into other forums. Talk about anything.

Hobbies?

Post by ZachO »

Hey, over the past couple of years it seems I have a lot more stuff I'm interested in(hobbies). Including scuba, chicks ;) , welding, hunting, fishing, camping, and anything else I forget to mention. Computers have recently become put on the back burner (:( haven't had a whole lot of time) and I have quite a few welding projects i want to get done. Anyways the point of this post was to ask you guys and gals what are your hobbies and how you keep from getting ("overwhelmed?") I guess you could say.

Thanks in advance,

Zach

I live on an island, so the fishing/hunting/camping scene really cant be beat. Inland fishing and saltwater quickly available. Plenty of places to hunt. Although I don't skate, we have a nice skate park that people can go to hang out.

When I'm home I usually take my ATV out to the state park behind my house. There's a large body of water on the top of the mountain to swim in after a long ride. At school I take my Jeep four-wheeling with buddies in the spring and fall, and do a lot of skiing in the winter. I also enjoy bowling occasionally.

My hobbies generally revolve around software, electronics and video games (duh).

Outside of that, I'm a gym addict. I feel my best when I work out regularly, and generally feel guilty when I skip gym visits. I can't really focus on devving unless I feel healthy physically. Oh, and I'm a pretty vain individual. :)

I've also become quite interested in philosophy as I've gotten older, so I spend a lot time reading (especially the works of Ayn Rand)... which generally leads me to spending half of my internet life arguing with dirty hippies and communists... but oh well. Lately I've been doing a lot of reading on film directing/production (planning our Youtube return). I also enjoy collecting the shit out of things (maybe you've noticed). I have a gigantic collection of programming/computing books and video games. I also enjoy collecting booze, cigars, and Poke'mon cards.

Oh, and since I've graduated, I've grown to enjoy gardening/caring for plants (I know, weird). I have Japanese Juniper and Ginseng bonsais along with several other semi exotic plants and vines. Kendall has two cats, and I have my plants. :D

Aside from video games and computers, I typically play guitar, airsoft, and play DnD.

If I'm not programming , I enjoy riding a bike, playing basketball, caring for plants ( especially those ones which can be eaten  ) or playing with electronic circuits.
