IRC network issues?

Is there something up with the freenode network? I recently started chilling in the elysian_shadows channel, but for some strange reason i havent been able to connect recently. I had connected (for hours) 2 times before, but now i cant even stay on the network long enough to identify myself. It just keeps resetting the connection .

Here's info about my situation:

Irc client: Chatzilla (firefox addon).
Isp / connection speed: My ISP is charter and i have a shitty 1mbs down/128kbs up connection.


Im connected to 3 other networks (8 channels) so i dont see why this network would be any different/give me problems .

try using a proxy, try using a different irc client

It seems to be working again (No idea why i want able to connect for 2 days - well without dealing with reconnection issues).


That was really annoying - hope it doesnt happen anymore .



Edit: Still seems to be happening. I can SOMETIMES connect (i see the people in the room) but i generally disconnect if i try to speak or use commands (mind you, the other 3 networks are perfectly fine).

@K1NET1K: I'll try mIRC in the morning (atm im just sick of this and dont even want to bother with it anymore).
