What API do most professinal game developers use?

I am talking about SDL, Opengl, DIRECTX.
Which one of those?
Just wondering.

I know you didn't just make a post on an indie game development forum called "real games."

OpenGL and DirectX generally. Same as most of our "fake" games.

OpenGL and DirectX mainly, although some games(such as world of goo) were made with SDL.

And what do you mean "Real Games"?

Another question, I have accelerated C++, and I dont think it explains things too well, I need a better c++ beginner book.
Which one will teach me more while explaning it good enough:
C++ Primer Plus (5th Edition) or Sams Teach Yourself C++ in One Hour a Day (6th Edition)
Thanks

You sure talk a lot of shit for somebody who can't comprehend a C++ book.

A 2 year-old could Google the answers to these questions. Dickwad.

I really hope your being sarcastic. If you are, then, by now you should have realized it doesn't work well on the internet. And if your not, then :worship:  Oh Mega Awesome MMORPGRTS Maker, Show Us the Way, for We are Not Worthy :worship:

Told you sarcasm doesn't work on the internet =/ ^^

While you're taking the time to go places, maybe you should consider going to fuck yourself. The people of this board have done nothing but try to help your ignorant, barely coherent ass. You respond by disrespecting our work.

I find it hard to believe that the opinion of somebody who "needs an easier C++ book" matters at all.

Click here to see the hidden message (It might contain spoilers)
you've already established you don't understand how to read a reference book, so i'm going to assume you're reffering to which one is best to wipe your ass with, I'd go with the sams one, it will last longer

with regards ;)
