Ratchet and Clank : Size Matters

Post by zNelson24 »

I nice little game I would recommend getting! Has a few quirks, but I recommend it.

Gameplay: Size matters plays out nearly like all the other R&Cs in the line up. The controls do take some getting used to, and the quick select button will sometimes pop-up whenever you don't want it to (it would come up on the press of the triangle button instead of holding it down). Space exploration still exists in the game, but you fly as giant clank instead of piloting a spaceship, which all plays out in a StarFox like fashion. The game is also has a hoverboarding and Clank arena sidegames. the hoverboarding side game is a little wonky, and the Clank arena thing has you doing several things (goal type sport, battlebot fashioned fights, etc).

Graphics: Other that the models being dumbed down to fit the PSP, it dosent really look too different from the other games. Animations runs somewhat smoothly. There is a FPS drop on the "loading screen" (game was played on PSP Go), but that not a problem once your playing.

Audio: Music was nice, and the voice acting was good (at times, it lacked the drama you would see on other titles).

4/5

Preffered system - PSP : From what I have heard, the game was made for PSP. The PS2 version was merely ported from it, and no real enhancements were made (a PS2 version of the game is pratically non-existant).

I bought this game at wal - mart becacuse it was on sale for 10 bucks. I guess it depends on your taste in games. This was the first ratchet and clank game that I have ever owned, and I didn't particularly like it. I thought it was a bit ... "childish?" but I don't mean that in a bad way. It just didn't suit my taste in games. It was one of those games that I never finished because I thought it was boring.

I also have a problem with the game patapon. I think patapon is boring, but i am for some reason addicted to playing it...? Idk, I delete the save file for patapon then one month later play it non stop for a week, delete it, and start the process all over again.
