Sonic GDK

Post by Marx Chaotix »

It's been going on for a few years now but seems fairly underground and obscure amongst the mainstream. Pretty much, there's a group of coders who got together and decided to put together an engine (dunno if it's from scratch or if they modified another engine I don't want to give you falsified information) that allows you to develope your own modernized 3D sonic game. It seems pretty damned cool from what I can see. I'll let you be the one to judge. So what do you guys think?

Demonstration Video. Someone pretty much made their own version of Green Hill Zone (with the Chaos Emerald shrine from Angel Island it seems)

Sonic Retro does a pretty good job of archiving any indie developement games pertaining to Sonic which is why I like them and consider them a fairly reliable source of information :D

Tell me your thoughts.
