Donkey Kong Country Returns

Let me start by saying that the Donkey Kong Country trilogy was one of those defining series for me growing up. I loved the shit out of them, and to this day I still play through them on a semi regular basis. They are some of the very best 2D platforming the SNES had to offer...
...And Donkey Kong Country Returns does the series justice. I was really worried, as it wasn't developed by Rare, but god DAMN this game is awesome. It has that same DKC vibe, the same beautiful environments, the same ambient music. It feels very much like DKC.
It also has the challenge of DKC that is missing from almost every goddamn Wii game. Unlike Mario, Kirby, Zelda, and the other Nintendo franchises, this game is HARD AS SHIT and very rewarding like the originals.
If you were a fan of DKC 1-3 on the SNES, you MUST give the Wii game a go.
