SONIC GENERATIONS DEMO

Post by Falco Girgis »

Is out for download (only for 18 more days) on PSN and XBL.

And let me just say... even though you only get to play through a remake of Green Hill Zone, and only as 2D, oldschool Sonic... the motherfucker is back. I was a believer in Sonic 4. I thought Sonic Colors was actually a pretty badass game. But this... this seems to be the lightning of Sonic's epic return, striking straight the fuck down from heaven to let us know that Mario's rival has finally finished fucking around.

Green Hill Zone has never looked so fucking beautiful. Actually, I'll go so far as to say a 2D platformer has never looked so beautiful. The gameplay feels perfect, and the physics are spot-on. Even in 2D mode, they weren't shy about throwing some 3D camerawork around. I am most pleased.

I agree. It made me feel like I was playing an old-school sonic game again. Moreso than Sonic 4 ever did.

Let's hope they don't screw it up for the final release.

There are some rumors of a PC version.. if they turn out to be true I'll seriously consider buying this.

Be careful! Excessive amounts of semen can cause irreparable damage to your computer and other nearby electronics.

I don't feel as excited for this as I should. I'm a huge Sonic fan, but honestly I'd much rather stick with my Sega Genesis Collection disc for my 360, as it has all the original Sonic games which didn't include any bullshit about Were-hogs or Dark Knights or Other Hedgehogs that use *firearms*. Sega has fucked up too many times in my books, and it'll take more than some pretty levels to win back my love.

Sonic Adventure 1&2 is the only 3D sonic game I've liked so far. This however looks awesome. :)

Same. Although Sonic Colors turned out to be pretty sweet.

Sonic colors is sweet, you should think about playing it. That and like you said Adventure 1 and 2 are the only 3D goodness that came out of the Sonic team.

HOLY SWEET FUCKING JESUS!

City Escape (Sonic Adventure 2) was announced and demoed at E3 as a playable level. I SPENT HALF OF MY TEENAGE LIFE RUNNING THROUGH CITY ESCAPE EVERY DAY AFTER SCHOOL TO GET LITTLE CAPSULES TO LEVEL MY CHAOS ON MY DREAMCAST. It will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I'm fucking sold. I don't see how this isn't going to be the greatest Sonic experience ever. Now all we need is news about Casino Night Zone, Ice Cap Zone, Mushroom Hill Zone, or a few of those other gems, and I'm literally going to jizz my pants.

I don't get why people are calling this a "gimmick." This is the greatest idea ever. Remastering our favorite old levels AND adding something new. That's the best idea for a remake ever. If that's a gimmick, I'm all for it.

This just might be the best fucking Sonic game ever. I believe the hype. Sonic Colors showed that they know how to do 3D again. The demo showed that they know how to do 2D again. The levels are the ones we already knew and loved.

Mario needs to watch his ass.
