I love that game! I almost forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me about it.

Pallet town from pokemon red/blue. I remember my mother drove me and my brother like 50 miles just to find a copy of it and we managed to find a red & blue (last copy of red left in the store!). I was playing on my first generation gameboy and had my mom leave the light in the car on while we drove so i could see my screen.

Green Hill Zone in the first Sonic game. It was the first game I ever played and I remember sitting at my friends house, taking it in turns playing just that game for hours.
I'll make your software hardware.

hurstshifter wrote:I could never list them all here. The entire first disc of Final Fantasy VII tends to do it for me though. Whenever I'm feeling down I can just start a new game in that and play it for 4-5 hours.

Also, the moment you step onto the world map in 600AD in Chrono Trigger. That song (wind scene) really makes me nostalgia HARD.

:)

Also, the starting place / academy thing in FF8 where you start always hits me with a wrecking ball of Nostalgia. That, and the original set of Pokemon games for the Gameboy.

Interesting.. I was thinking of creating a similar topic. :)

For me it's Wild ARMs intro. Nostalgia + inspiration + feelings of carelessness and comfort.

PS: Those of you who haven't played this game, have missed too much to be called rpg fans.
I love the game as you can see Rudy is my avatar :) (I also named one of my guinea pigs after him :D). The other game locations that make me feel nostalgic are the RPD and the mansion in RE, the entire town of Silent Hill in the first three games in addition to the entirety of Medievil 1 and 2 and final fantasy's 7-9. I also love Ape Escape which I played all the time when I got it (we rented it). I played it so much that we kept it beyond the rental period and I was saddened when it got taken back. However luckily it turned out that we'd kept it so long that the fines had basically paid for it and I was able to keep and play it :).
