I'm jealous too :(
FUCK YOU BEST BUY! SEE IF I EVER BUY FROM YOU AGAIN!
My game is still in Kentucky... at least... that's what it says :(

THAT explains why you've been so productive LeonBlade, you're trying to keep yourself as busy as possible to pass the time.

Anyway, I picked this up for my fiancee yesterday, she's loving it thus far and she's been burnt out over RPGs for awhile, so this is good thus far. I haven't seen more than 15 minutes of it, but it looks sparkly... I'll have to give it a try one of these months.

Dear god, they actually ported ES to a piece of celery!

Reading this topic I've realised that I've never finished a final fantasy game.
I'll make your software hardware.

Personally, I've only beaten FFVIII myself. My fiancee has beaten at least VII and possibly IX... so don't feel bad. :D

Ha, me neither. I'm aiming to make this the first.

Played about 4 hours last night, definitely enjoying it a lot. Also got the special edition strategy guide, because I love books as much as games, so the combination gives me a huge nerdgasm. The story is cool, and I like the characters, minus Captain Emo (if you've played the game at all, you know who I'm talking about).

Damn! You guys are in for a treat if you go back to play at least VI, VII, IX, and Tactics. The others are great too, don't get me wrong. But those 4 are probably my alltime favorites.

I've always wanted to play Tatics, my roommate from college was a huge FF nut and I watched him play Tatics for awhile, looked fun as hell.

Tactics is absolutely AMAZING. Very challenging, great story, and quite possibly the best soundtrack of any video game in existence.

Tactics is very enjoyable (my favorite). It only gets better once you encounter Agrias and Orlandu :)

Orlandu is a game changer. Although I honestly prefer to stick with custom soldiers instead of the characters from the storyline so that I can work on everyones jobs right from the very beginning. Its great to test all the characters out at least once though.

Anyone here playing the PS3 version? If so, do you notice any rumbling? I picked up a Dualshock 3 controller with the game yesterday and my girl hasn't noticed any rumbling.

In all seriousness though, really enjoying this game thusfar. It is very unorthodox in terms of Final Fantasy but the game plays nicely. Story seems pretty cool thusfar as well.

Yea, the 360 controller rumbles when you're hit.
I'm still enjoying the game, even though I think Sazh is a pretty boring and uninteresting character both story and battle wise.(Swords>guns) I don't mind "Captain Emo" that much. (@aamesxdavid).

Hey Gyro, have you gotten it yet? Getting it for the 360 or PS3? Could you accept my live friend request, it's been there for ages (?)
