The next big handheld.

Post by Marx Chaotix »

Maybe some of you have heard of this but, there is going to be another powerhouse hand held that is soon to hit the markets. It is soon to be known as the Pandora. It should sell for about 330$. It is basically a hybrid between a hand held video game system and a laptop. It is an open sourced project which means it is being developed by several small companies and dedicated programmers. Here are links talking about this soon to be the most powerful hand held in the world.
Official site.

It is apparently nicknamed the DS/PSP killer since is has several features based off the two and is expected to surpass the two.

As far as I know it should be out in a few months.

I am definitely going to buy one.

Yeah I'm saving every penny I've got on the Pandora. I'm thinking about buying it about half a year from now in hopes that by then the price might slightly drop and all the bugs, (Assuming there will be any) will be fixed.

I was looking at it, and I'm impressed. It's perfect for independent developers. I also like the look I hope the final version looks very similar to that one I am amazed at it's size! But I'm with you on the price if it goes down there is a chance that I wwill buy it.

I think I need one of those. Even if I have to sell my Wii and Xbox 360, I still need one.

I know this is an old topic, but the reason I'm bringing it up is because I just got in the mail that the Pandora has just been released to the world today! (It will be out in November)

I have been waiting for almost a year for this day. 8-)

However, I want this for my Christmas present and I've been saving every penny I've got (which adds up to barely 80$) While my parents pay for the rest and make it my Christmas present however, the people are only making 3000 for the 1st batch and I have a feeling there won't be any left by Xmas and I want my parents to buy it now. They won't saying it will have bugs in problems with it. (Damnit! ) On top of it the next batch won't be out until 2009.

So what should I do? Wait it out or get the damned thing now?

I really want it and have been looking forward to it for a year now.

If I don't get it then I'll ask for a camera so I can make you youtube vids or somethin.

Wait. Early adopters always pay for it d:
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned.

I'm sorry, I know this topic is old, but I just want to announce that the Pandora is due to come out sometime. A handful of sources told me it's due to come out in February.

These have been around forever, where have you been? The Gp2x is awesome because it can run Amiga games. Lots of people develop for them, too.
