If you're serious about composing music then I urge you to check out Logic Pro 9. I've yet to upgrade from Logic Pro 8 but the new tools make it well worth the £399 or £159 if you upgrade. If you're a PC-user then get FL. It's amazing and it's cheap and you get free upgrades.

I love Drum & Bass. Not all of it. I’m really into Intelligent Drum & Bass. It’s not very popular. Even in the underground scene it can be hard to come across. I’d recommend checking out a duo who calls themselves Future Engineers. That’s the style of Drum & Bass that inspires me...
