Re: New Gyromite
In the original (which I'm assuming you haven't played) Yeah that makes a whole lotta sense. Unless my memory just utterly fails me, you could control Hector and the pipes on the same controller. I don't personally own an NES so I've done my most recent gyromiting on an emulator without cont...

Re: New Gyromite
When summer break rolled around I pretty much stopped everything computer related except for casual Internet use. I'll start back up with gyromite when I get back to university. Something about putting off homework assignments gets me in the mood to work on these kinds of things.

Even if randomness doesn't exist in our known universe the very concept is easily imagined. No need to limit ourselves to perceived reality.

Re: Wii Port?
You are mistaken. It is incredibly easy to softmod. See wiibrew.org.hurstshifter wrote:This requires a hardmod if I'm not mistaken.
Speewave, GRRLIB would be a poor choice of graphics library. GL2GX would be more suitable.

I wouldn't buy it. Then again, I don't really like these types of games.

Re: Ideas to make money.
The biggest problem for me with respect to web development is connections, getting a client. It's why I tried those bidding sites which are a waste of time because they are always spammed with a hundred people who "have been doing it for 15 years!" fuck that bid shit for a nobody.

I'm 20. For the past two semesters I have been a research assistant in a solid oxide fuel cell lab. However, it's part of "work-scholarship" which means I work there for my scholarship... no monies. I usually keep pretty busy during the school week.

Re: Ideas to make money.
...web development... I've tried to get into that before. I can't seem to find a decent client. I've tried using those sites where you bid as a freelancer. I've gone to people with shitty sites with the promise of bringing them up to date. "I like it how it is now because it loads fast." ...

Ideas to make money.
Chances of me finding a summer job are getting slimmer by the day. I'm trying to come up with ideas for making some money on my own or with a friend of mine who's in the same boat. Any ideas? I wonder if trying to sell a little game I make would even be feasible. I kinda doubt it but I just don't kn...

Yeah, I've had it for a long while so I'll probably need to grab the latest version for good measure. I'm hoping the gl2gx will make the porting a bit easier.

As I think I've mentioned before, I've been storing stage data as ascii in a .gyro file like: ==............*.......|||.....v.v......................."....."....v."......."...... ."*H.**.|.*||.|.*.....|||.....v.v........v...v...v......".vvv."....v.".......&quo...
