Re: "Triangle" - Ludum Dare Project Flash Rewrite
Saw this on /r/gamedev and thought your name looked familiar; didn't realize you were providing updates here! This game looks super smooth, I love it. Thanks! Glad you recognised it from the SS thread. And now for an update. I think I'm getting somewhere with the level editor for the game now. I re...

Re: "Triangle" - Ludum Dare Project Flash Rewrite
I started working on the menus and had to write a ton of back end to set this up with a nice clean design. I also rewrote / added to the way I'm storing and reading the level/game state, to keep the state of the game world persistant as the player moves back and forth between different maps (as this...

Re: SymbolSorter - Android app (~50% done)
This is cool. Personally I think it would be good to have a visible queue of the upcoming symbols, maybe above the current one, so that when players become skilled/obsessed enough to play really fast, they aren't significantly limited by the delay from the input delay and waiting for the next symbol...

Re: Help! Finding the intersection of a vector and a line.
Thanks, I actually just realised a simple way to do it using trig (because I realised I'm only ever going to be using perfectly horizontal or perfectly vertical lines)
Does anyone know if this would be faster or slower than solving the intersection of 2 lines?

Help! Finding the intersection of a vector and a line.
I'm trying to write a function that determines where a direction vector intersects with a line. I drew this quick sketch; http://i.imgur.com/EYajpvl.png Obviously if I was doing this normally I'd equate them and solve using a simulatenous equation like A + tB = sC Ax + t(Bx) = s(Cx) Ay + t(By) = s(C...

Re: Galaxy Bear Returns!
Hey all, we started working on Galaxy Bear again after a few years ( some of you may remember it ). It's going well so far, and we'd just like some feedback on our initial screenshots. If you are interested in our little story we also started a blog ( screenshots inside! ): http://datamancerstudios...

Hey man, that's pretty neat! I split this from "What projects are you working on" thread since you double posted, but more so because I want to see more updates as it progresses. Feel free to rename this thread whatever you like and post a link to it in the "what are you working on&q...

Re: What projects are you currently working on?
Day 2... Started working on a fog / field of view sort of thing. Currently I'm just casting a bunch of rays from the player and using those to draw the black fog, but it doesn't look good enough to me. I'm coming up with a new algorithm right now that will use the corners in the nearby map geometry ...

"Triangle" - Ludum Dare Project Flash Rewrite
Just started working on a little Flash project today and made a trendy GIF. Got the basic functionality of the game engine in and I've integrated the NAPE physics engine (an awesome physics engine if you're ever in the business of using Haxe or AS3) http://i.imgur.com/KFiS1R8.gif  I'm basic...

Re: "nD" - Indie Game Development Handheld
They've just repackaged SDL and called it their SDK. Their SDK. For a handheld game console. *Facepalm*Tom_leonardsson wrote:eeehhhh...ok? i dont get it...why did you face-palm
