Re: Retro Games
I started at the PS1 era, I'm 18 now, so I was tad too young for the megadrive/SNES when they were out (perhaps if I had an older brother I may have been introduced at a younger age, alas I have a sister  ) but I'm making up for my absence from the 16-bit era, I bought a SNES when I came to uni...

Re: New Youtube
I forgot about that, although to be honest, I'm not even sure I've ever gotten it to work, I use chrome and I've opted in, but it doesn't work with videos with ads apparently EDIT: okay, so I finally found a video which uses HTML 5, the quality is noticeably lower than flash, but if I'm being honest...

Re: New Youtube
The good thing is, it is improving from when they made it live. I was in the beta, and got these features a while back, one thing that REALLY ground my gears was auto play, at the beta stage, they made auto play default, which made the video change to some other random video, even if you were maybe ...

Re: PulseEdit Map Editor
Maybe I'll get round to making that totally cool editor I have stuck in my head, impatiently waiting for me to get my arse in gear and design the thing! Your editors looking good, like many people, I'm not hot on downloading .exe's, but A YouTube video would be a great, from what I see, it looks lik...

Re: Favourite RTS and why?
I love everything about AOE 2, however I find it very hard to play seriously now offline, the AI is horrific when it comes to 'every man for themself' type games, all of the players seem to have basically the same AI and just attack the human player, which kinda annoys me, I usually play teamless ma...

Re: Favourite RTS and why?
It's a tossup between Warcraft 2 and Rise of Nations I totally have to agree with Rise Of Nations, one of the best RTS games IMHO I also love the empire earth series, however I never tried empire earth 3 as I heard bad things, and I have enough trouble getting the second one to work on my computer :...

Re: new object() question<SOLVED>
I just thought I would just add on to what has already been said. If you simply call delete on the pointer to the object of class object , and you haven't written a destructor when you've allocated memory to pointer within the object, then it just deletes the pointers (not the allocated memory) and ...

Re: Xbox Indie Game Sales
I'm very happy to see they made such a good profit, I got a lot of fun out of the no 1 game. It makes me think there might be something in the whole XNA development thing, but it remains to be seen whether I would make anything with XNA, I would have to read up on it first to see if I 'like' the fra...

Re: You guys have seen Pulp Fiction, right?
Pulp fiction is one of those films where you spot something new every time you watch it, it really is a pleasure spotting all the quirks in the narrative, and it's a laugh at the same time, love hearing those classic lines that sound so pointless in another context but make so much sense in pulp fic...

That's bloody ridiculous, I'm not even going to explain why because we all know why, paid-for demos, next they'll be charging us by the hour when we play the real thing !

I now have a blog, excuse my rather verbose and lengthy first entry, perhaps hello world would have been more appropriate for a programming blog

Re: Blogs: We post ours
It's reallty worth writing a blog isn't it? I haven't got round to setting one up, but I think I really should, I'd like to do some creative writing when I don't have the time, nor the will to record a video, also, there are some things that can be described in words a lot better than me waffling on...
