Re: A possible glimpse into the future
well it says all the "architectural" types of glass are "damage resistant" and "durable". How they'll make it so, I'm not sure :| Either way, awesome concept! I saw that, but did you see how carefully the guy was holding the small phone-like device? I know it was conce...

Re: Assembly Isn't That Bad:
There are only two reasons that assembly can ever be hard: 1) It is a nightmare to do anything substantial in assembly 2) It requires intricate knowledge of the CPU and hardware architecture. So naturally the more complex the architecture, the more nightmarish the instruction set and tasks required...

Re: Assembly Isn't That Bad:
So why are people so scared of it? BTW, I have only done basic operations and using inline assembly. This is why: ;*********************************************************** ;* ;* Lab6.asm ;* ;* USART RECEIVER ;* ;*********************************************************** ;* ;* Author: Benjamin A...

Re: Assembly Isn't That Bad:
Oh whether I like it or not is not a choice . I'll eventually have to learn it anyway. I plan on double majoring in Computer Engineering and Computer Science and taking extra theoretical physics courses (don't say it is a stupid idea, I want to work on quantum computers, robotics, artificial in...

Assembly Isn't That Bad:
So I thought assembly would be a very hard thing to learn, but surprisingly, it's not bad as all. It is not scary, or anything. I understand it. So why are people so scared of it? BTW, I have only done basic operations and using inline assembly. May be using it more will prove to be a pain. Also per...

What is the irony in this?
Me, the lead programmer of our robotics club and the one with the most programming experience, gets tied to the most basic and boring jobs like testing sensors and graphing them in excel... I literally spent 2 hours getting 20,000 data points from the robot, filtering them out and graphing them toda...

Re: North Korea going to war?
So, here is my story: I came to California when I was 7 in January 13, 2001. Now, I was born in South Korea, so I am a Korean citizen as of now. I am only a permanent resident of these United States of America. I am turning 17 next month, in Korea that would mean I would turn 18 due to their weird a...

For free, you can check out the computer science lectures on iTunesU, I also suggest it on Youtube, but you can save it on iTunesU and there is a bigger selection to pick from. Just search MIT or Stanford, they are great classes. I suggest this first: http://www.youtube.com/user/StanfordUniversity#g...
