Re: What makes a good game?

Since everyone has already talked about game play I'll go into music. I like games that I don't have to mute. Has to have somewhat decent sound, stuff that is easy to listen to over and over and over and over and over and over again, because if you've ever played Oracle of Seasons, you'll know what ...

This is a game I've never heard of, which is probably my own ignorance, but I think it's worth $10 so I'll get it tomorrow!

His avatar is a face-portrait; it's is more relevant than yours...

Why aren't you calling Gyrovorbis a poser if he has a face portrait for his avatar?

I don't even understand why this makes him a poser in any way.

Well, I consider myself a programmer, whether or not any of you do. :P And, I consider anyone who makes a game in MMF or Game Maker a Designer, in all respects. There are plenty of Indies who use that stuff and make neat games, there's no reason they don't deserve that title because they use tools ...

It will never snow again. Srs bsns.

In a nutshell Moskau's air force is going to spray chemicals on clouds to make them dump their snow before they reach Moskau.

Reasons to live in Moskau
-Catchy songs about living in Moskau
-No snow

I beg to differ. Those guys were classically trained from a young age. No-one is born a composer. okay. well to give you perspective, beethoven composed some of the most beautiful music when he was completely deaf. you try that. I'm going to argue against this point. Beethoven WENT deaf, he wasn't ...

I put it on megaupload because the way some other sites are. With rapidshare you can only download 1 file per time and have to wait 15 min in-between downloads. On megaupload try to right-click on the free user download and click save as. Also if you're not using wireless try to refresh your IP. Or...

I agree, I think I'm pretty good at composing now, because I took lessons on composing. However, if I tried composing 6 years ago it would sound like someone having a seizure on a piano.

Well, I don't know C#, so I can't tell you recommended exorcises, but you could try making up text games from what you do know.
