Re: New(ish) To game programming, Were to go next?
I pretty much tell people that they should try to make games based on the history of video games. First pong, then slightly more advanced stuff like maybe Robotron, Defender, Frogger, etc. Then old Atari/NES type games, and on. We look to history to find the way forward... :worship: Those who fail ...

Re: Why is it so hard to find Artists?
I just think artists don't tend to hang around the game dev communities as much as coders do. You might have more luck at TIGsource, or at an actual spriter's community.mattheweston wrote:Why is it so hard to find good artists that aren't working on ES? =)

Re: OpenArt.moosader.com
I've updated the site to have a Requests table for users to submit what kind of art they need, and for meandering bored artists and composers to get ideas for Open art to contribute to the site.

Re: OpenArt.moosader.com
I've set up a makeshift page for asset contributions if anyone happens to have spare art/music they'd like to share. Ryan Pidgeotto has contributed something, as well as Des Tomate and one of my Finnish game devver friends.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about that. I'll do such things for next sprites, possibly tonight or tomorrow or Friday.EdBoon wrote: although I did add the last 4 death sprites.

OpenArt.moosader.com
I've been moving a few pages off of my main website and into their own subdomains, since they seem like separate pages anyway. One was the Pickin' Sticks directory ( http://pickinsticks.moosader.com/ ), and now I'm working on "OpenArt" ( http://openart.moosader.com/ ), which will basically...

It's cool to look at everyone else's lists. Maybe they should put a "history" page on their sites. :D
