Re: Ground breaking application!
What do you mean 'without using any integer classes'? I assume you don't mean: if(x > y) // x is bigger else // y is bigger but that wouldn't require an integer class. I mean to actually detect if "1" is more than "2" without the use of default language syntax. And btw, you are ...

Now that is pretty coolNokurn wrote:In Qt Creator, you can make HTML5 apps with New Project -> Other Project -> HTML5 Application. You write your code in HTML5/JavaScript, and Qt generates a viewer program that uses WebKit.

Re: Java vs. C++, UI-heavy programs
How the hell do you distribute a html5 app. Maybe they need some sort of bundled 'browser' with the html included (like some sort of self contained app) Package it with a Chrome installer, because anyone who isn't already using Chrome is doing themselves a disservice to begin with. Interesting. I l...

Re: Java vs. C++, UI-heavy programs
Sorry I was just joking about html5. As long as your map editor works on the platform you wan...

Re: Smooth Movement?
Let's say I have a square moving at a rate of 2 pixels per second. It will move 2 pixels one frame and the next frame it will move like 4 pixels for no reason. Sounds like a maths/timing/calculation error rather than a performance thing. If it is a performance thing, there must be some reason for i...

Re: Smooth Movement?
You need to narrow down your engine to the point where you can eliminate things causing it.
Start by removing textures, remove all characters, remove lighting, remove AI, slow down the game loop, use more debugging, etc. Keep going until you find the thing causing it, then drill down into that
