Re: Playstation 4 Thoughts?
Greater hardware = more expensive development. That would mean that a lot of money will go to graphics and less to gameplay and social interactions and such. I think the share-button is a great step into the right direction along with the social aspect of the console. Off course, better hardware mak...

Re: A Simple NES Game
Here is the video:
Sorry for the bad quality. Just wanted to quickly put something up there.
The thing in the top left corner is a program I made to visualize controller input (played this game with a SNES controller)

Re: A Simple NES Game
Pretty nice! I have wanting to make a NES game since I first started programming. Maybe I'm experienced enough now to make something simple. There is a strange animation when I try to push the character out of the screen. I guess you draw the character before you check if he's outside of the screen ...

Re: My Year Project
What if you took one of your favorite games and tried to tweak around with the game elements/game play? Like, take Zelda and put in some leveling system, which may leads to upgradable items and armor. I guess that would lead you in to making a game you'll be enthusiastic about and not lose interest....

Re: Post every time you beat a game.
Super Mario Bros. (NES) As I'm practicing to speed run this game, I beat it about 10 times a day (and that's with a lot or resets) A little over 6 minutes on average, as I don't do many risky tricks yet Playing on an actual NES or emulator? I play on both, but mostly I play on an emulator so I can ...

Re: Virtual Controller Dispaly
I am partly done with the Playstation- and the Xbox controller. I know I'm going over this and polish it up soon. Playstation Controller: http://www.nechrology.com/nphoto/upload/141ps.png This will be used to all the previous Playstation controllers as well. I'm not going to make one without the joy...

Re: Virtual Controller Dispaly
Update: I made this N64 controller: http://nechrology.com/nphoto/upload/4724controller2.png (The Z button is below the joystick, because it is originally on the back of the controller) I have assigned all the buttons, and it works perfectly. But I gotta work on the joystick a little.. adding precise...

Re: Virtual Controller Dispaly
Wow, that is actually very useful! Awesome to be able to see button presses while someone is playing. I'm thinking this would be extremely useful for guitar hero if anyone played it anymore.. lol. Thanks for the reply! The program only reads controllers that's hooked up to the PC via USB. I don't k...

Hello folks! I'm currently working on a program. Thought I should make a little video about it and share it with you guys. Hoping for some inputs and stuff on how to improve this program. Sorry for the bad English. I'm not used to record my voice, and I did this on the first try. (The video will be ...

Re: So anyone else buy Pokemon Black/White 2?
I have yet to finish the original one. It's just that it gets hard to pick it up after some weeks non-gaming, coming back to the game again and don't have a clue on what's going on with the 'questing'. I miss the first games, where I could just see which gym dudes I'd beaten, and instantly know wher...

Re: Games you keep meaning to play (but haven't yet).
I think I'll add WindWaker to my list... It came out at that awkward time in my life when I was 14, hated the shit out of the GameCube, and really despised the "kiddie" direction Nintendo was headed in. I steered clear of Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, and Windwaker, because I was too c...
