Best way of organizing development?
What methods and equipment do you use and/or recommend when it comes to development organization (of teams or indivuals)? Do you plan everything before, do you make a timetable? Do you use whiteboards and a devcock? ;) Or do you just wonder how the .... I get this idea? x) All in all: What do you th...

Re: Component Based Design (C++)
Well, I personally do like SDL's approach. It has a base class (SDL_Surface) which holds the image data. Every function that loads an image returns a pointer to the created Surface which can then be used to pass it to functions used for stuff like drawing. So it's just about the same except for that...

Re: Coffee
lol I'm actually thinking about getting a black coffee mug that features an imprinted caffeine molecule...
Still searching for a vendor who lets me do this without forcing me to order 100 of them at a time^^
Still I don't care for the actual kind of the coffee... coffee is coffee! xD

Re: What is the irony in this?
Sounds like a really bad type of a guy :shock: The only way I've ever worked in a team was with only one guy who's been my best friend for several years. That's the way programming is fun. (And actually, I wouldn't dare to do it in another way) Yeah, that's my opinion; a small team where everyone kn...

Re: Know of any game recording software? (preferably free)
I don't know about any fully free software, but Fraps is worth taking a look at.
I've recorded all the game videos on my YouTube channel with it.

Re: Your favourite console?
Nintendo DS & Gameboy all the way
That's what I played all the stuff on... Pokémon, Mario Kart and whatnot... memories^^
But, if the PSP would've been there, I would have probably cast my vote for it cause I like it better. Anyway...

Re: C/++ Function Naming Conventions
So, let's have a look at this (in this case google was my friend, and it would also have been yours ;) ) http://geosoft.no/development/cppstyle.html It says: 6 - Names representing methods or functions must be verbs and written in mixed case starting with lower case. getName(); computeTotalWidth(); ...

So, what's going on? xD
Good evening guys! This is me, well, not only me, but me and a friend of mine who will most probably be using this account - I'm Fabian, a 15-year-old-programming-loving teenager, German citizen and basically not involved in the (as I put it) "real" game programming... so far. Which as far...
