Re: 2d engine , should I ?
If you're looking at making a game that is fully customization-able build your own engine. It will be worth it all in the long run. There will be a lot of frustration and hard work but you can continue to use the same engine for multiple games.
+1 for building your own engine.

Hello ES team and other forum members. I'm Volspor, the lead developer/designer for the project "The Void". It's a 2D RPG being developed for BYOND.com, I will later take the same concept and develop it in C/++ and expand to other platforms and OS's. I maintain a tumblr: theworldofprogramm...

Re: Pixel Art Tutorials
Thanks for this list mate, it'll help me a lot.
I am doing a solo project right now, there seem to be no pixel artists around my town. The kids here are either stoned or in jail. I need someone who will be sober and jail-free.

Re: What projects are you currently working on?
I'm currently working on a game written in ByondScript called "The Void". It is a 2D RPG, that has the feel of any normal RPG. I will be re-writing it in C/++ in the years to come to make it run on other OS's and possibly other platforms. If you want to know more about the development look...
