Re: inspirational/motivational movie suggestions

Limitless always has inspired me to not be so lazy. Definitely worth watching if you haven't seen it already.

Re: music?

I usually get on iHeartRadio and turn on ClubPhusion or Trancid. Both good trance/techno stations. Also like listening to UKF mixes.

Re: Downlink: A Web-based Uplink Clone

Just downloaded the demo of it and got addicted. Thank you for sharing. :)

I would just recommend to make it compatible for more browsers just in case someone is too lazy to do so. But yeah it is a good idea and a fun game. Keep at it.

Re: Tetris

Seems like a fun little project. More beginning developers might be able to use this as a stepping stone to larger projects or getting their feet wet in game coding.

C# I take it?

Yes, freeglut works the same as glut. It's the replacement for it that started back in '99.

Yeah that guy on the right is a complete dick. He obviously has no idea of how important he was even though the guy on the left quite clearly explained it. Ignorance is bliss :nono:

Re: Should I use C-Style FILE I/O instead of C++ Style?

I personally have always used fstream and never had a problem with it. But a quick Bing search (yes I use Bing) that led me to an interesting discussion: http://www.codeguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=383112

Small 3 button keyboard I made. left/right select buttons, and a button to change the character. Worked quite well actually :)

Re: you first video game console?

Gameboy Color in like 2000 (great times), then moved up to an GBA SP (2003), and then bought a Wii in like 2007.

That's it, I prefer PC games to console games. Thinking of getting the next gen PSP but not sure yet.

Re: need help

My friend had a problem with something similar as well. To fix it, just set it's value to NULL after you're done using it. I believe that's how we fixed it
