Re: Unity

Cool :) what game company is he working for? It's an obscure company that is just getting off the ground, but I'm pretty damn certain it will generate some form of (significant) revenue. Its founder/CEO is an incredible entrepreneur, apparently. Good for Marcel, it's great he got a job in the indus...

 One, nil to those indie developers
I hope Tim Langdell sees it and realizes how much of a twat he's being.

Re: What Console Would You Want to Dev For?

I would definitely dev for the old school consoles like the Mega Drive and the Dreamcast. They were my childhood consoles. But for the modern approach it would be the Playstation 3 and Xbox360.

Re: OpenGL tutorials

I would go with DirectX. It's more game creation oriented than OpenGL. Not trying to start an argument, but how is that statement true? DirectX is a tad more widely used, doesn't mean it's more game development oriented. Sorry, I didn't say it correctly. I meant OpenGL was mostly just a graphics AP...

Re: OpenGL tutorials

A few sites I found while researching DirectX tutorials: http://www.directxtutorial.com/ http://www.two-kings.de/tutorials/dxgraphics/ http://www.chadvernon.com/blog/tutorials/directx9/ I would go with DirectX. It's more game creation oriented than OpenGL. But OpenGL is more portable. :nono:

Getting Allegro Set Up

Hi... Sorry that I am posting quite frequently. I will try to keep my posts to a minimum next time. I have read my C++ book and wanting to install Allegro. I already got SDL but the way I did that was download files and extract them and put them on my compiler. With Allegro do I have to do the same ...
