Re: No need for an account to play my game!

Thats super SICK!!! I like how it is labeled "Lua Script Game" :D Lol, I thought so. The project has been under development on and off since January and now that I'm in college I doubt it will ever get much farther, but it was originally a simple application to play with lua scripts and I...

I think I read the failure rate was about 27.3% of all systems, which is the highest of any console.

Re: iPhone development using .NET

.NET is going to take over the planet. My only complaint with .NET, and the only real reason (aside from "Oh, I just don't like it") for people to not adopt the .NET framework was platform dependency, but Microsoft is slowly closing that gap. Holy mother of fuck! ...that is all. It's not ...

Yeah what everyone said above. I'll just chip in and agree that it does take a bit of time to understand pointers and their uses but eventually it will click.

I personally try and debug it for about 10 minutes and then if that fails call it a night and go do something else.

Re: PS3 VS Xbox 360

Ah, yes I see the confusion of acronyms there: XDK just stands for Xbox Development Kit. Easily confused with XNA, and then they have NXE for their dashboard update.. they just love three-letter acronyms. It's a dev kit like any other, Sony just doesn't seem as up on the snappy names. Microsoft and...

Sitting about bored out of my mind....I was working on a basic game engine for the 50th time (each time getting slightly closer to a good structure) but that last segmentation fault made me call it a night, so yeah currently a bit burned out.

Also try approaching local businesses. A shop opened in the town where I live and I noticed they have a basic website (just background colour and text) and asked if they wanted to hire me to design and implement a better site, they agreed and in 2 weeks (maximum) I should be roughly £200 better off.

Re: Just HTMazing

Flash should be a standard really... Standards should be open in my book. The possibilities of Flash are amazing. When I think of a video player, I think of Flash that's just what comes to mind. True but you'd also be amazed at what can be done with HTML5,CSS and Javascript/AJAX. It's the fact that...
